We did a psychology activity with the girls about this while we were there.
emotions- raw, immediate physical and chemical reactions that happen in the body, feelings- personal and can be shaped by your thoughts, experiences, and culture.
Coming back people have asked me my favorite or most impactful thing from the trip and I honestly have to say that it was watching the girls in Ecuador and the girls in my group from US choose to have feelings of joy, optimism and importance amongst the past hurt or trauma they had been through.

The last month we were working at Dunamis and the girls lived up to the name representing power, ability, and potential. Restoration and healing was happening before our eyes through art, devotionals, horseback riding, education classes and jujitsu. But the true restoration was happening as they realized their full potential that God had in store from them and had reached an understanding of the the Fathers heart. Feeling of more than just happiness came about but rather true genuine joy.
