Sometimesyou are asked to do something with very little vision casting. You aren’t totally sure why you are being asked to do it or the best way to go about it. It becomes difficult to strum up energy and motivation. Questions such as what is the purpose of me being here? May arise or run through your head

Communication between our host and my squad hasn’t been the strongest this month. Actually our communication has kind of looked like the mud you see in the picture. Murky and unclear.

We were given the task to level the ground so we could lay concrete. However, we weren’t totally sure how we were supposed to go about it. There was no system and then to make matters worse it started raining and we needed the ground to be dry in order to lay the concrete, so then it seemed pointless and impractical. We pick axed but the mud was so thick it would just go back into the ground every time we tried to step somewhere to shovel more. The tools were legit slipping from our hands because our gloves had mud caked on them. The mud turned to quick sand and people’s shoes were sucked into ground and only their foot would come free. Haha

So what did we do? We paused. We laid all logistical complications aside and focused on what we could do. What we could do is jam to some music and just get in there and accept the dirt, the mud, the mess and stop trying to change the situation or discuss what situation would be better. Once we were out of our heads and opperating in our hearts we started having fun. We started to vibe and sweet simplistic solutions arised. Sometimes the best tools we have are not of this world, but the ones God gives us. Our hands turned out to be the most efficient tool we had. More of us could work at the same time and we were not longer pounding down the dirt we had just pick ax. We got a system down and quickly the sloppy mess became a level ground. A firm foundation we could build upon.

Sometimes Gods plan isn’t always clear to us, but if we just take that first step of faith and trust that he will equip us clarity follows.
