Hi friends!

So I wanted to let you know some life updates and what God has laid on my heart recently. Transitioning back to the busyness of the U.S. and feeling like I needed to make sure my end goals were up to “standard” was pressure I didn’t want to take on. But as I sought comfort in community and talked to friends, it was crazy to hear the testimonies of my friends and how God was revealing to them a lot of the same revelations right here in the U.S. as I had on the field. He truly is a best friend that just wants our time, our attention and our love. He wants to be invited in to share a meal like friends! (Revelation 3:20). He doesn’t have conditions that need to be met to receive his approval or love. He isn’t waiting for us to hit our goal to be acknowledged.

We tend to view the goal as the goal, but in God’s economy the process is the goal. It’s not about what we’re doing at all it is about who we’re becoming in the process”- Mark Batterson. Delighting in the process while operating out of love and extending grace to me and to others has truly made days not just bearable, but enjoyable no matter what is thrown my way.  It not only helps me give love, but also receive love from my fellow students and staff at the Renton Christian (where I’m currently working).

I’m stepping back into the mission field but this time not through an organization. I’m going back to Ciudad Refugio in Colombia that Adventure and Missions connected me with. I will also be partnering with YWAM, which is one of the organizations I worked with in Guatemala. While there I will be pursing my heart passion working with teens and if all goes well teaching math. I could potentially also be teaching English. Pray for the students learning English from me…. Haha ya’ll have seen the amount of grammar mistakes in my blogs. But I’m so super stocked to be going back for two months starting the end of March.

Once again I don’t know my plans after, but hey it’s about the process and I have my friend Jesus to walk a long side me.
