So as I am writing this today is raining and
memories are starting to flood together so before I share testimonies about what is being done I going to tell you where it all started.
His provision and His blessings
After just finishing leading a week mission trip in Romania my parents got a call that their house had flooded from the inside out to the point that their ceilings were collapsing and garage door was falling off. Everything that wasn’t directly affected by water was affected by mold. And since I had just dropped all of my belongings there transitions from teaching to the field once again that meant all I had left with me is one European approved suitcase carry on.
I watched as tears filled my mother’s eyes. The house they had put work into, the house they raised kids in, the items that held memories, and the house they called home no longer was going to feel like home.
My own confusion about why I had just literally moved all my stuff there to be washed away threw me into a wrestle with the Lord.
So why the foundation of this trip his provision and blessing? Because this incident pushed me to start radical abandonment and opened the doors to receive His blessings.
So here is what I packed for this trip blessings.
Stephanie and Suz blessed me with clothes, Brooke a backpack, Julia and bliz a sleeping bag, Lucas a sleeping mat; Mikayla a fanny pack and water bottle. Drake blessed me with a bible and Lauren with a sweatshirt. And just today at church I recieved earrings. Little did this lady know it was an answered prayer. The earrings I had in my ears had started to deteriorate and irritated my ears to the point where I could no longer wear them. God cares about providing for the little things and uses us to be a blessing to answer prayers.
