Day before Thanksgiving I thrived in what I call organized chaos. We fed 392 families at our local food pantry by pushing carts through our food line up for about 3.5-4 hours. Honestly though, it felt like maybe 2 hours if that because we were dancing, singing karaoke, and cheering each other on the whole time.

“Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.”

??Psalms? ?95:2? ?NIV??

The next morning I got to enjoy my own Thanksgiving by spending it with the Lord and asking him why he is thankful for me. Then I returned the compliments and let him know why I am thankful for him. Then we spent the afternoon out on the lake with previous world race alumni who hosted a potluck.

Side note: I even made pasta salad for all 33 of us. ‘Shout our to Jayna??’ Those of you who know me know I rather starve than cook, but on the race I do it once a week.

After dinner we played spike ball till it got dark and had a fire going into the night. It was the biggest thanksgiving I’ve had in a very long time. I felt so much gratitude toward the Lord and felt worthy enough to sit at his table even if I did absolutely nothing because his acceptance and love is given not earned.
